Sharad Yadav

With over 20 years in vocational ministry, Sharad has extensive training and experience in both pastoral counseling and spiritual direction. As an undergraduate at Boise State University (BA History, 1998), Sharad developed an interest in liberal arts (literature, history, and philosophy) which has continued and has shaped his seminary training (M.Div, 2001) and various ministry roles (co-pastor, senior pastor, and associate pastor for spiritual formation). Sharad’s current training in psychotherapy (MA Counseling Psychology, 2024) continues a lifelong interest and study in human motivation and the possible sources of hope in the midst of anxiety and despair.

As the child of immigrants, raised in a rural setting, Sharad also maintains a passion for racial justice and identifies with minority experiences, which informs his theological approach to Scripture and the Christian tradition. Sharad now lives in Portland with his “pulchritudinous” wife Evelyne (Sharad’s words, not mine) and our three impish, adult children - Madelyne, Sameer, and Raj.
