Morris Dirks, Director
Morris is the founder of SoulFormation. He comes with many years of pastoral experience and a deep desire to see Christian leaders receive the kind of support and pastoring they need to grow in their spiritual health as they walk with the Lord in His work. Morris spent the first 10 years of his ministry in youth work. He then pastored two churches over 18 years -- one in Salem, Oregon and the other in Seattle, Washington. Morris now gives all of his time to serve other leaders through SoulFormation. Morris has a Master Of Divinity (Canadian Theological Seminary) and is currently completing his Doctor of Ministry in Leadership and Spiritual Formation (George Fox Evangelical Seminary). Over the years he has also taken classes from leaders who understand the spiritual journey -- Richard Foster, Eugene Peterson, and Larry Crabb’s School of Spiritual Direction. Whether it be one-to-one mentoring, working with staff teams, or speaking at retreats or conferences, Morris always leads with his heart. His passion truly is “soul formation,” – in his own life and in the lives of others. Morris is married to Ruth who has a private counseling practice and shares SoulFormation’s commitment to the spiritual and emotional health of Christian leaders. They have two adult sons. |
